Best Laptops Under $1000

There are a lot of options out there for laptops under $1000 for people to consider. While you can find a laptop under that price point easier than ever, it is still difficult to find a quality one. Usually manufacturers will have to focus on only one thing in particular while ignoring other features in order to meet the under $1000 price point.

Instead of breaking it down by price point, I figured it would best suit people if I broke it down by use. The truth is, people are using their laptop for a bunch of different things, so what might be great value for one person might not be for another. You also won’t be seeing any Apple products in this article, as I stuck to laptops running Windows. Not like many Apple laptops would fall under $1000 anyway. Here’s a look at the best laptops under $1000 right now.

Best Value: Acer Aspire E 15 ($329.99)

To start off with, I wanted to find a laptop that just about any person could afford. It is obviously not going to be the best of the best, but the Acer Aspire E 15 to me is hard to beat. That is because it provides so much value despite being under $400.

What I Love

The specs are great for a laptop this cheap. It has an 8th-generation i5 CPU, a full 1080p display, more storage than anyone needs and even a decent graphics chip. All of this makes a pretty speedy laptop that is built to last for a while. A lot of budget laptops are going to end up costing more in the long run because they need to be replaced every single year. With the hardware in the Acer Aspire E 15, that type of replacement schedule won’t be needed.

What I Hate

So how does Acer cut costs on a laptop like this? Well, they didn’t really do much to make sure that the laptop looks nice. It is not the most important thing by any means when trying to save money, but the laptop is bulky overall and just looks like something that is old. At first glance, many people probably think that this is not a good laptop by judging the look.

Best Gaming Laptop: Dell G3 Gaming $699.00

Finding a true gaming laptop under $1000 is a pretty difficult thing. That is because some of the best games out there right now need the absolute best specs in order to work on high or even medium settings. In a competitive world, gamers are always looking for an edge.

What I Love

I also feel as though the keyboard is one of the best out there for really any type of laptop. The responsiveness was great, it has the right amount of backlighting when I’m using it late at night and the keys just seem extremely durable. I use my keyboard a lot when gaming

What I Hate

The only feature on the Dell G3 Gaming that did not feel up to standard was the display. I felt as though the IPS screen was really bright and sharp, but the colors were lacking. Most gamers end up having an external monitor to use when playing at home, so it isn’t a huge deal for longer gaming. When traveling or on the road using the laptop, the subpar screen is somewhat noticeable.
