A brand that cares about the planet as well as our children? I decided to take the leap and purchase the Premium Shampoo & Body Wash in Gentle Sweet Cream for my little ones’ bath time. Did this supposedly eco-friendly product live up to the hype, and should you go plant-based for your baby’s care?

One of my children has a skin condition that causes occasional dry patches, and one does not. Because of this, I was looking for a shampoo and body wash product free of irritants that would also cleanse both skin types thoroughly. I wasn’t disappointed. Hello Bello’s formula is made without dyes and synthetic fragrances, but also sneaky irritants such as parabens, phthalates, and ingredients that cause common allergic reactions (peanuts, soy, dairy, and gluten). I found that using this wash as a shampoo left my kids’ hair clean while being tear-free, and as a cleanser, it lathered nicely while leaving skin soft and residue-free. I was also thrilled to find that my toddler’s sensitive skin suffered zero flare-ups after use.

Hello Bello teamed up with Wal-Mart to create a line of products for babies and kids that would be made using clean ingredients at a fraction of the cost of other brands. A 10oz bottle of this shampoo and body wash, according to Wal-Mart’s website, can be purchased for $6.08, which breaks down to 60.8 cents per ounce. When you are browsing options that will be gentle on sensitive skin, this is a wash that will keep your baby clean without breaking the bank.

Is It Green?

Hello Bello’s mission is to bring premium-quality products to the market while working with every parent’s budget. The company has largely removed from their shampoo and body wash products chemicals that may be harmful to babies and kids while keeping costs low. Are they completely green? Items in this line are still packaged using plastic. However, considering Hello Bello has utilized ingredients obtained from plants while omitting so many skin irritants from their formula, it’s an affordable way to go plant-based for young ones.

Overall, I would recommend this product and purchase it again for my family.
